The Field Service Technician is responsible for service, maintenance, installation, and construction of Bay Industries Inc. laminating and converting equipment.  The Field Service Technician will travel to Bay Industries Inc. locations throughout the United States and Canada (London, Ontario) to install/upgrade equipment, troubleshoot issues when they arise, and train operators to use the equipment properly.  The Field Service Technician will also work in the Cleveland, OH assembly facility for building/testing of laminating and converting equipment prior to shipment to Bay Industries locations. 

Responsibilities:

• Install, upgrade, or service equipment maintained by the company at various field locations.
• Configure hardware and software components after installation.
• Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper resolution.
• Test equipment/troubleshoot issues.
• Document installation and repairs by markup of drawings and schematics.
• Maintain all tools and equipment used during service calls.
• Manage inventory of replacement parts and equipment.
• Serve as main contact on technical and service-related issues.
• Provide internal customer training on equipment use.
• Will assume responsibility for supervising the Maintenance Technician crew at a future date.

Qualifications:

• Strong mechanical, electronic, and technical aptitude
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical controls, and PLC programming.
• Understand blueprints and schematics.
• Willing to travel on short notice (up to 50- 75% of the time)
