The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the daily production, production scheduling, managing warehouse employees and drivers, and making sure safety policies are being followed. This position will need to help out on the production floor and in the warehouse when needed. This person will work closely with the Plant Manager and Customer Service Representative on daily operations.  The Warehouse Supervisor must lead by example and maintain a good relationship with employees and customers. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervisory
    • Responsible for the oversight of all warehouse/production activities.
    • Review the daily load sheet every morning and remain up to date on shipments.
    • Assist with loading of trucks to ensure the product is complete, correct and does not exceed the available space on the truck.
    • Assist as needed to ensure that all jobs are completed on time.
    • Assign crew to their work areas for the day and their responsibilities.
    • Directs proper staging of produced material to keep orders separate on the floor.
    • Oversees all activities in the warehouse to ensure that quality products are being produced.
    • Directs and assists with the daily cleanup efforts of the crew after production.
    • Coordinates temp labor when needed for production.
  • Safety Monitoring
    • Ensure forklift safety checklist is completed daily.
    • Ensure laminator safety checks are completed daily.
    • Enforce safety policies and making sure they are being followed at all times.
    • Ensure compliance with proper PPE.
  • Machine Operations
    • Will have expertise on all machine/equipment and operate as needed.
    • Hands on assistance in production as needed.
    • Will obtain company certification on the forklift and will operate the forklift to load and unload trucks when needed.
    • Ensure compliance with ongoing UL and Home Innovation checks throughout the day.
    • Ensure logs for both UL and Home Innovation are maintained.
  • Shipping and Receiving
    • Check roll count to make sure all rolls are loaded.
    • Ensure all accessories (tape, banding, and skids) are included on the truck and are properly labeled.
    • Keep paperwork updated that include back orders and proper billing and return to the office for processing.
    • Oversight of receipts of all products inbound including packing list.
    • Inspect all freight when it’s delivered for damage and make appropriate notes on the receiving paperwork.
    • Verify counts on all incoming and out bounding trucks.
    • Generate bills of lading through software systems.
    • Call LTL carriers as needed.
  • Maintenance
    • Perform and complete preventative maintenance checklist to guarantee proper laminator operations.
    • Upkeep of property, buildings, and dock areas for appearance and safety.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Experience working within a production or manufacturing environment required.

  • General knowledge of machine maintenance.
  • Forklift certified.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

  • Basic computer skills.
