The Machine Operator runs the laminator machine and provides basic adjustments as needed. This person has knowledge of all facings, fiberglass types, and tab combinations. Follows all safety procedures and understand all safety equipment. Responsible for quality of all rolls including, but not limited to tabs, glue usage, poly usage, roll length, and labeling of rolls as needed. Directs activities of General Labors to keep production running efficiently.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform the daily safety checks
  • Enter traceability information on production forms
  • Can read & understand production forms and is able to set up Machine correctly
  • Operate laminator and understand all functions of production.
  • Perform routine adjustments to the laminator as needed.
  • Assists with running the laminator machine by following the guidelines and processes put into practice by the Plant Manager.
  • Monitor all safety equipment as required.
  • Perform compliance testing and understanding all relevant aspects of quality. 
  • Assist with general clean-up as needed.
  • Assist with loading and unloading trucks.
  • Performs forklift operations as needed and in compliance with the Forklift training and safety guidelines.
  • Will be required to perform all other duties as requested, directed or assigned.
  • May be required to work occasional overtime up to 10 additional hours during peak season.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1 year of Production or Warehouse experience, required.
