The Senior Staff Accountant will work out of The Bay Family of Company’s corporate headquarters in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Regular responsibilities of the Senior Staff Accountant include completing monthly closing process for divisional and corporate entities.  The Senior Staff Accountant will review and prepare journal entries, analyze and publish financial statements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare financial information monthly/quarterly/annually using approved company financial reporting tools

  • Process month-end balancing, journal entries, and account reconciliation

  • Prepare Audit Work papers

  • General ledger analysis of accounts

  • Analyze and interpret data utilizing spreadsheets

  • Fixed Asset Maintenance

  • Perform Inventory Reconciliation

  • Provide ERP Software Support for locations nationwide

  • Occasional overnight travel is possible with this position 

  • Performs other related duties as required and assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent years of related experience required.

  • 3-5 years of accounting experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment is ideal.

  • Experience with and ability to train others in ERP software and Microsoft Dynamics Ax is a plus.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Strong organizational skills

  • Thorough knowledge and application of general accounting skills and theory

  • Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional levels

  • High degree of mathematic ability

  • Excellent problem-solving skills are a must

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
