The General Production Associate is responsible for operating the assorted production machinery such as Mold Pack machines and Die Presses in an effective and safe manner.  They are also responsible for the completion of orders in a timely manner, and producing quality product. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Operating machinery in an effective and safe manner which includes:
    1. Following proper safety procedures
    2. Performing various machine checks to ensure the machine functions properly
    3. Notifying maintenance/supervisor of machine malfunctions
  2. Completion of orders in a timely manner which includes:
    1. Ensuring that the machine has adequate material to perform proper functions
    2. Identifying and locating various raw materials and supplies
    3. Notifying a supervisor if material inventory is getting low
    4. Maintaining a clean and organized work space
  3. Producing quality product that meets specifications which includes:
    1. Perform all quality inspections deemed necessary
    2. Properly fill out necessary paperwork
    3. Verify that the gages/measurement devices in use function properly and are calibrated
    4. Identify non-conforming material and following the proper procedure to document and remove it from the production floor. 


Education and Experience: Previous experience in working in a manufacturing environment is preferred. No formal education required.
